Heaven

In heaven, I think everyone would be there. There would be separate heavens and some wouldn't be able to go as they please. My heaven would consist of all of those who have died and who haven't been born yet. It would be what ever God has planned, but it will be joyful and a place you'd want to go to. And it depends on your choices on earth what kind of heaven you get and whose all in it.

The Lovely Bones

Susie's father meant that the snow globe was a perfect place for the penguin to live and that there was no way of him getting out. The father thinks it's perfect because it has everything the penguin would need and that there wouldn't be any hardships of any kind. I think that Susie thinks she's trapped in heaven, trapped in what's supposed to be a perfect world. I don't think she sees it as a perfect world though, because if it were a perfect world, her family would be there.

Parts of Speech Review

10 Nouns: moon, ocean, beach, sand, stars, Chelsea Russell, Chelsea Campbell, Meghan, Armondo, Bethany.

5 Adjectives: funny, beautiful, small, bright, soothing.

3 Adverbs: carefully, slowly, quietly.

2 Conjunctions: and, but.

3 Verbs: drove, fell, look.

2 Prepositions: up, out.

1 Interjection: Wow!

2 Pronouns: she, he.

One night, my friends and I decided to get together. So we each drove down to the beach to look up at the stars. Meghan and Chelsea Russell were the first ones to get there. They were followed by Armondo, Chelsea Campbell, and Bethany. I was the last one to get there, but they didn't mind waiting for me. After we were all there, we carefully made our way down a steep hill. Chelsea Russell was the only one that fell down. She slowly got up and called to us that were still near the top. When we finally reached the ocean, the soothing sand spread in between our toes as the water crept up to meet us. We laid down and spread our feet out then quietly took pictures of the moon with our phones. "Wow!" exclaimed Armondo. He had just gotten a beautiful picture of some shooting stars. "Armondo, you're so funny!" said Meghan as she tried to imitate Armondo's face. When I saw what an awesome picture he had, I tried to take one of a small star flying across the sky, but Campbell shined the flashlight at my phone. When I looked at it, I saw that the flashlight was too bright and it messed up the picture!

Shakespeare's language

"Thou art a forbidden ronyon! Never again shall I speak to such a miser!"cried the statist. "A mob shall I send after you for all of thy ropery!" Then the rudesby young man rid himself of all the statist's possessions while running down the road in search for a hoy in the harbor.

Idol of idiot-worshipers!
To me that means that who ever he was talking to he was calling stupid.

Quotes To Think About

I choose the quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson that said "We boil at different degrees." It could be referring to a lot of things. Maybe he was saying that everyone is different and unique. Or he might meant more specific things like when we mature or perhaps how smart we are. He might have even meant it as in what social class we are in.

Personally, I think he was referring to how everyone is their own person.

9/11

Eight years ago I was living in a little town called Cushing, Texas. All I remember about 9/11 is my class making posters about it, I don't even remember my teacher's name. The weeks following 9/11, i remember making posters about the soldiers and having patriotic contests. I don't really remember hearing or seeing anything about it, at least not until the next year.

I think even 20 years from now we will still remember 9/11 even if we don't honor or commemorate it anymore. We will always remember it.

I think the terrorists chose to attack America because we're the top dogs. We represent freedom and power and maybe they chose to attack us because we stand for something. To let the world know what they think of us and our choices.

Both of my parents were in the army and they retired to have a family together, but for some reason unknown to me, my mother decided to get back in after 9/11. So she was gone for almost two years either training or in Iraq. I think the attack greatly affected her and my father, maybe not directly, but it did affect them.

If I were to write a story about 9/11, I would choose a point of view from someone who was beside the Twin Towers. Or maybe even working in the towers. My story would be about what they went through and what they're thoughts might have been.

Friendship

My morals, values, and beliefs are more important to me than friendship. It's a part of me and I'm not willing to give that up for someone who is making me choose between them and me.

Lovely Bones

Lovely Bones seems like it would be a very interesting book that would give some insight to life and be enjoyable to read. I would like to read about how the other's lives go on after the main character's death and how she reacts to it.I would really like to read this book and I think it should be the one we read this year in class.

Why Blog?

I think we might use blogging in the classroom to express ourselves even more. We can let other students from other schools know what we're doing by blogging and be able to see what they're doing to.
